Boutique brands that launch without their own retail environment face a tough challenge: stand out on the shelves. Our experience over the last two decades has taught us that there’s one way to stand out on crowded multi-brand shelves: be recognizable. Rouge couldn’t be loud or brash, so standing out on color or pattern wasn’t an option. Working with the directive for the most minimal brand possible, we set out to build something that would stand out but stay on brand. The team has been thrilled with the work and struggling to keep the shelves stocked ever since.
